What about it? LOL I am blessed and I know I am. I have a great, hard-working husband who walks on water when he's not sinking. I have three wonderful kids. I have a fabulous family and great friends. I have the privelege and opportunity of homeschooling my girls and being able to take care of my family like I've always wanted to, even if it means we don't live in the nicest home, wear the latest fashions and drive the newest cars. All that is fleeting anyway. I'm investing in eternity and I thank God that I am able to do so.
My day started out with my husband kissing my sleepy head as he left for work. Then there was a knock at the bedroom door and my three heathens, uh, I mean angels were up already with breakfast in bed for me and a gift!!! I got two beautiful homemade cards--one from my "favorite son" even and another from Brooke. And inside a small gift bag was a booklet of coupons for backrubs from Kayti (she gives the most awesome backrubs!) That's the best gift ever!!!
My mom came over and brought her little daycare kids and I got to get a shot of baby! I played with Atticus for a while and she brought me a cake and a new purse with some money stashed inside! It was a blessing--gas prices are killing me with all the running around I have to do!
Around lunchtime, I noticed a card on my dresser from Jeff! I called him and we chatted for a few minutes.
On my way to pick Dylan up from school, I noticed some balloons tied to my mailbox and I thought Mom had done it but then I recalled checking the mail while she was here and not seeing any balloons so I went to check it out and inside I found a singing card "go sista go sista" (from Creole Lady Marmalade) It was from my crazy sister, Melanie! She'd snuck by on her lunch break and did a "drive-by"! LOL
Took the girls to dance and got three more shots of baby--Blake, Ella Kate and Emma Joy. I love all babies but for some reason I'm so completely in love with Emma Joy! She's the baby some friends of mine adopted from Guatemala. I SO want to do that and God has promised me there will be more children in my life. But I'm thinking those are going to be nieces and nephews or grandchildren or if I'm very very lucky, maybe foster children.
We came home, had yummy jambalaya for dinner and went to bed early! Probably doesn't sound very exciting to very many but a regular day in my life is the best gift ever for me!
Blessings,
